Casual Paramedics

  • Operating as part of an event medical team  you will deliver on site emergency medical care to patrons and competitors and officials at sporting and cultural events.

Must have:

  • Diploma in Paramedic Science or Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedics)

  • Drivers Licence (unrestricted and with no more than 4 points lost)

  • ACT WWVP Card (or NSW Working with Children)

  • Police Check with no criminal convictions
  • Own Transport

  • Mobile Phone

EMERGENCY MEDICAL FIRST RESPONDERS

Casual positions available in the ACT

Operating as part of an event medical team deliver on site first aid and medical care to patrons and competitors or officials at sporting events and cultural festivals.

Must Have:

  • Cert II Emergency Medical First Response HLT21112

  • Drivers Licence (unrestricted and with no more than 4 points lost)

  • ACT WWVP Card (or NSW Working with Children )

  • Police Check with no criminal convictions

  • Own Transport

  • Mobile Phone

EMS ACADEMY

Don't have qualifications but still want to get started?

Join our EMS Academy in 2017

This program consists of two parts:

  1. Initial training
  2. EMS Academy

First - Enrol in the following course with any RTO;

  • Cert II in Emergency Medical First Response HLT21112.

Then apply to participate in First Aid Services EMS Academy intake.

To enrol in the academy intake, you must be 18 years of age and hold;

  •  Cert II Emergency Medical First Response
  • Valid Drivers Licence (with no more than 4 points lost)
  • Police Check (not more than 6 months old) with no criminal convictions
  • Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card or NSW Equivalent

Successful applicants to the EMS Academy (Its like 'Boot Camp' for EMS Workers) will see you participate in a program to give you basic training in how to become an EMS worker. We also offer clinical work experience placement.

It includes;

  • Uniforms, Dress & Bearing of EMS Workers
